#6 Shipwreck Lodge

Shipwreck-Lodge-Namibia-Concept

Launched in July 2018, Shipwreck Lodge graces the famous Skeleton Coast Central Concession of Namibia, an area covering approximately 146,600 hectares between the Hoarusib and Hoanib Rivers in the Skeleton Coast National Park, only 45 km from Möwe Bay in the Kunene Region of North-western Namibia.

This concession area is a vulnerable and irreplaceable wildlife habitat for rare and endangered species, including black rhinoceros, desert elephant, black-faced impala and Hartmann’s mountain zebra. Importantly it hosts the only other viable lion population in Namibia outside of the Etosha National Park.  Visitors value the area for its landscapes, unique desert dwelling large mammals, traditional cultures, quality of its remoteness, sense of isolation and perception of uncrowded ‘exclusivity’.

Guests can look forward to sundowners on the expansive restaurant deck or cool off in the swimming pool, whilst appreciating the harshness of the desert.
