Cathay Pacific Airways Merges Cathay Dragon Website

18 April 2017 – Cathay Pacific Airways has announced that the Cathay Dragon (and Dragonair) websites will merge with the Cathay Pacific website to provide customers of both airlines with a more seamless online experience.

As of 29 March 2017, customers can enjoy the convenience of booking flights from all departure points across the airlines’ combined network through a single shared website.

Along with this, customers will be able to manage bookings and check in online and enjoy on-the-go access to flight timetables, flight status and baggage information. Passengers will also be able to choose from a range of in-flight entertainment options for both airlines, which will be available through the online booking platform.

Country manager for Cathay Pacific Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean, Rakesh Raicar, said: “The website merger is the latest development in Cathay Dragon’s rebranding process, which officially commenced in November 2016, aligning and strengthening the award-winning Cathay Dragon airline to the well-established Cathay Pacific brand.”

Designed to provide customers with a more seamless travel experience, the rebranding has the added benefit of introducing both airlines to a wider audience.

The business of connecting customers through each other’s networks has been an overwhelming success for Cathay Dragon and Cathay Pacific, with millions of passengers choosing to fly on both airlines each year. Being more closely aligned, the airlines are better equipped to deliver on their brand promise of a Life Well Travelled, ensuring that all customers enjoy a consistently premium experience at every stage of their journey.
