Tourism enterprises should utilise this windfall to recover previous losses but should not rely on a depreciating currency in order to be competitive. The strong growth of passengers arriving on regional flights to Cape Town can be attributed to the increased use of flights to Cape Town that have a stopover within the region. For example, tourists travelling on Kenya Airways or Ethiopian Airlines via Victoria Falls and other regional destinations to Cape Town.
