Andrew Latimer has been appointed as Head of Market for Avios in South Africa, where he will oversee the development of the Avios Travel Rewards Programme both locally and in Southern Africa.
His focus will be on delivering the overarching business strategy by driving new partnership opportunities across air and non-air sectors, as well as managing partner and customer relations.

Prior to his new role, Latimer was the Commercial Executive for MassBuild, a division of Massmart and the Walmart Group. It was during this time that he was heavily involved in the development of the divisional customer and omni-channel strategies, including a focus on customer loyalty creation alternatives.
Latimer holds a MBA and a BComm where he majored in Industrial Psychology and Business Economics. He has previously held positions at First Rand group and South African Breweries, where he gained extensive experience in finance, supply chain and credit management.
