Protea Hotels appoints new Sales Manager

Protea Hotels has appointed Gareth Venner as Group International Sales Manager, a promotion from his current role at Protea as Regional Sales Manager for Gauteng.

Armed with a qualification in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Gareth moved to Scotland to do his practical with the Hilton Group there. Following 5 years in the field of hotel operations and a 2-year stint at Tourvest Travel Services, Gareth joined the Protea Hotels Group, quickly moving up the ladder from two roles as a sales executive, to playing an integral role in the opening of the Protea Hotel Durbanville.

He took up his current position in February 2014 – and the success he achieved in the sales field has now been recognised in his latest promotion.

Protea Hotels welcomes Gareth to the new role, and wishes him ongoing success in his career with the Group.
