Bidtravel takes over the kitchen at Home* Suite Hotels, Bristol
The newly launched Home* Suite Hotel, Bristol in Rosebank, Gauteng, played host to Bidtravel’s CEO, Lidia Folli and her team, along with close friends and a few hotel guests, for an evening of fun, food and inspiration. The café-styled eatery at the hotel provided a superlative space to host dinner for 28 where Lidia got to take over the kitchen and enchant one and all with her Portuguese-inspired dishes.
Chef Bayethe happily set down tools and handed over his stove to a delighted Lidia who, armed with a list of pre-ordered ingredients which the hotel sourced, some herbs from the rooftop organic garden and her own special spice kit, set to work on her signature dishes paired with beautiful wines and stellar entertainment. Says Lidia, “I felt right at home* in the kitchen from the get-go – the super friendly and helpful kitchen staff, the open, homely space, a full pantry and gadgets for every process made my cooking experience all the more satisfying which spilled over into all my dishes, made with generous helpings of love and laughter.”
With Bidtravel being a large corporate Folli looks to try and personalise her experiences and events with her team and didn’t hesitate to take up the hotel’s offer to come and take over their kitchen. Lidia adds that that whilst located in the ‘burbs the hotel is very central, she loves the boutique vibe done so tastefully, the innovative nuances and the relaxed atmosphere, “kind of like being at home, sans my slippers but just as relaxed and comfortable.”
