Africa’s Endangered Wildlife Species

Year after year, one wildlife species or another gets added to the endangered list around the globe. In Africa, the continent known for its abundant fauna, several marine and land species have been pushed to the brink of extinction. Over the next ten years, how many more of Africa’s wildlife species will be added to the CITES list?

The reasons for wildlife species becoming endangered are numerous, but it is the responsibility of each and every human being to do their bit in whatever way possible to pull the species back from the edge of extinction.

Some of the ways that you can do your bit for Africa’s endangered species include; supporting a genuine conservation charity with monthly donations or one-off donations; enrolling with an African conservation project – a noble deed and an experience of a lifetime; reducing your carbon footprint by using sustainable products and recycling; or becoming a wildlife ambassador to raise awareness about the issue, which can be done online and offline.

There are many options, but one of the most effective ways to really make a difference is to learn more about the reasons why these species are endangered.
