JOHANNESBURG, 14 December 2018 – In line with their strategy to expand their African footprint, Tourvest Destination Management has acquired Mozambique Voyages, a DMC specialising in both self-drive and tailor-made holidays in Mozambique.
Commenting on the acquisition, Martijn Mellaart, owner of Mozambique Voyages said; “I am extremely excited about this partnership. Joining such a strong company, being able to broaden its reach into the island space, and also being able to distribute our regional product through Tourvest Destination Management’s advanced technological network is super exciting!”
Martin Wiest, CEO of Tourvest Destination Management, shares Mellaart’s enthusiasm, as this acquisition is Tourvest Destination Management’s first step into the Indian Ocean Islands – an integral part of tourism to Southern Africa.
Martijn Mellaart will join the Tourvest Family, as part of the Tourvest Destination Management Board on 01 February 2019, and will be heading up the Indian Ocean Islands division. The reservations and administrative team will continue as normal, based in their current Nelspruit office.
