Celebrities to Host 2017 Sanlam Top Destination Awards

For the hospitality industry, the Sanlam Top Destination Awards, recognises the best of the best and presenting this year’s awards are two profound ladies already making their mark in the South African tourism industry and media sphere. Tracey Lange and Josie Eveleigh are Sanlam Top Destination Awards eminent master of ceremonies for 2017.

Radio and TV personality, Tracey Lange is celebrating 10 years in commercial radio and 5 years on National TV. She is well known for her radio show on Heart 104.9 which is all about glitz, glamour and life and will soon be starting a ‘Travel Tuesday’ feature. Tracey is also the host on one of the biggest shows on kykNet, Bravo! (channel 144 DStv).

Josie Eveleigh has a strong radio and television background equivalent to 10 years and has recently launched a sophisticated travel show on SABC 3, Where Josie Goes. The show reiterates her love for travel writing and her passion for new experiences. It highlights hidden gems across the country.

“We chose Tracey and Josie because of their already established commitment to the hospitality industry,” says Jonathan Pepler, founder of the Sanlam Top Destination Awards. “We wanted hosts as passionate and enthusiastic about the industry as we are, because we are all about recognising the hard work and dedication that goes into each establishment and uplifting them through the awards, further placing them in the public eye. The tourism industry is one of the fastest growing industries and South Africa has a vast collection of incredible establishments just waiting to be discovered.”

The gala awards ceremony is set to take place on Thursday, 14 September 2017. Voting is open to the public and every voter automatically stands a chance to win one of 9 David Green Timepieces valued at R4 000.
