Cathay Pacific Appoints Country Manager for South Africa

Cathay Pacific has appointed Ashish Kapur as the Country Manager for South Africa and the airline’s Indian Ocean regions, taking over from Rakesh Raicar as of September 2017. Locally he will be responsible for all aspects of the business from a commercial and operational level. 

Kapur brings over 17 years of experience to the role, having initially joined Cathay Pacific as a Manager on Duty in 2001 and eventually being appointed Regional Manager of Cargo in 2010, overseeing South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. In 2014, he was promoted to the role of Country Manager for the UAE and Oman.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University and is currently based in Johannesburg with his wife and two children.
