Tintswalo Lapalala Launches Conference Retreat Package

Tintswalo Lapalala has introduced an Executive Retreat package that offers conferencing in the privacy and tranquillity of the bush, only 300km (or a 30-minute charter flight) from Johannesburg.

The fully inclusive package may be customised to suit corporate requirements and includes luxury accommodation, all meals and twice-daily safari wilderness experiences, laundry and wifi. For pricing, view the South African Residents Speical Offer (valid for travel up to 15 December 2019 and subject to presentation of SA ID document when making the reservation).

The setting lends itself to corporate workshops, senior management meetings and team-building getaways. Facilities include a conference room for 14 delegates, and breakaway areas for strategical planning, brainstorming and training sessions. Delegates travelling with their families are welcome. Seven luxury tents with private plunge pools accommodate a total of 16 adults and four children.

Tintswalo Lapalala is located in the 44,500 hectares malaria-free Lapalala Wilderness Reserve in the greater Waterberg area. Enjoying a sheltered location, the Lapalala Wilderness offers sanctuary to herds of buffalo, black and white rhino, sable and roan antelope that are all bred on the reserve.

Twenty-seven kilometres of pristine river meanders through the reserve, providing opportunities to enjoy the peaceful magnificence of water-rich scenery, teeming with birdlife. Conference programmes may be customised to include water-based wilderness activities such as riverside picnics, sunset cruises and fishing, or swimming in rapids and crystal-clear rock pools.

Daily game drives and guided bush walks are on offer, along with excursions to the ancient iron age and rock art sites within the reserve, as well as visits to the Wildlife Breeding programmes and the community-based Wilderness School. Bordered by other private game sanctuaries, the sheer expanse of this unspoiled biosphere area results in no light pollution and dramatic stargazing on cloudless nights.

The Tintswalo Lapalala lodge is a tented, eco-friendly camp which is completely off the grid, and solely run by solo power and generators. Conference delegates will enjoy all the modern comforts of a luxury lodge whilst still experiencing the true beauty of the bush. As there are only two commercial lodges on the reserve, vehicle density is very low, making it one of the most private and undisturbed safari conference experiences within the region.
