Five star Tintswalo Safari Lodge rewarded for excellence

Tintswalo Lodges’ emphasis on service excellence was recently reaffirmed when their Tintswalo Safari Lodge received a Lilizela Service Excellence Award, a newly introduced South African Tourism initiative.

Minister of Tourism, Marthinus Van Schalkwyk presented the prestigious award to Tintswalo at a lavish ceremony which took place at the Tshwane Events Centre in Pretoria.

Michelle Du Plessis, Managing Director of Tintswalo Lodges expressed what the award meant for the group. “In Shangaan, Tintswalo means ‘the intangible feeling of love, gratitude and peace bestowed upon someone offering you a meaningful and worthy gift’, which is exactly what Tintswalo strives to offer all its guests. From mouth-watering cuisine, to breath-taking views and unparalleled service offerings, guests are treated to nothing less than sublimity. Winning this prestigious award reiterated that our properties offer one of a kind luxury experiences of the highest standards. We are extremely proud of this achievement.”

Tintswalo entered the accommodation category of the awards under the lodge grouping, and were recognised alongside other well known safari lodges in the area.

In order to be eligible for the recognition the lodge had to adhere to certain criteria. This included the need to be an existing home, a renovated home or a building that has been specifically designed as a residential dwelling to provide accommodation for guests. It was required to have more than three rooms and a public living area reserved for the exclusive use of guests. The lodges that entered also had to be situated near a nature reserve, a forest, a river or near any similarly natural, peaceful location.

It is no wonder that Tintswalo Safari Lodge claimed this coveted award, as it offers a lavish and private sanctuary in which guests can look forward to experience the sights and sounds of Africa’s Big Five, as well as the spectacular bird life. Tucked away exclusively within the concession of the pristine Manyeleti Game Reserve’s 64,800 acres, lodge guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the surrounding wilderness with alfresco dining on the lodge deck, exquisite formal dining area, or even under the stars in the African bushveld.

Thanks to the area’s minimal vehicle density, guests are ensured of a peaceful, exclusive, and uniquely rewarding safari experience.

“If it’s a tranquil getaway that guests are looking for, without missing out on the service, then Tintswalo Safari Lodge is the ideal getaway. We’ll help you break away from the concrete jungle and help you relax in the African bush in true award-winning style,” concludes du Plessis.
