People on the move at City Lodge Group

JOHANNESBURG, 17 May 2019 – City Lodge Hotel Group (CLHG) has announced the appointment of three new general managers at their City Lodge Hotel Durban, Road Lodge Port Elizabeth, and Road Lodge Pietermaritzburg properties.

Elizabeth (Liz) Clarke has been appointed to the position of general manager of City Lodge Hotel Durban. Liz has been with Tsogo Sun for the past 21 years and leaves as general manager of Garden Court Morningside, Sandton. Liz has a well-rounded hospitality background with vast experience in senior management roles, as well as a University of Stellenbosch Executive Development, Certificate in Management Development Programme.

Doctor Mduduzi ‘Mdu’ Mnyakeni has been appointed as the general manager of Road Lodge Port Elizabeth. With qualifications in hospitality management and reception operation and services in hand, Mdu joined Road Lodge Germiston in 2010 as a receptionist. He has held positions as assistant general manager at Road Lodge Southgate and City Lodge Hotel Umhlanga Ridge, the latter on completion of the group’s Accelerated Development and Deployment Programme (ADDP).

Sinazo Mazantsana has been appointed to the position of general manager of Road Lodge Pietermaritzburg, after a nine-month stint as general manager of Road Lodge Kimberley. With BCom in hand, she started in the industry in 2012 as assistant lodge manager at a game reserve before being promoted to lodge manager a year later. Sinazo commenced with CLHG on the ADDP in 2015 as assistant general manager and was promoted to general manager in August 2018.
