Delightful summer packages are being offered by Clico Boutique Hotel in Rosebank. Clico’s al fresco spring and summer 4-course menu @ R330 per person is valid until 15 December and includes:
A selection of warm artisan breads with salted butter; carpaccio of tuna with salad of micro herbs with balsamic and lime; Italian ham with peas three ways, including mousse, dressing and pea shoots; cold poached Scottish salmon fillet with char grilled asparagus and new baby potatoes, micro leaves and a tomato and tarragon vinaigrette with basil crème fraiche; roasted free range rack of lamb with pesto pomme puree, char-grilled Mediterranean vegetables and sun-blushed tomato and basil jus; caramelized pineapple with candied coriander; basil panna cotta with a strawberry jelly and lime shortbread or raspberry soufflé with nougat glaze.
Andrew Green, the executive chef from the UK is presenting High Tea, with delectable finger sandwiches, scones with cream and fruit preserves, as well as a scrumptious selection of cakes and macaroons baked on the premises. The Clico Boutique Hotel high tea is available at R195 per person and includes fresh juice, coffee, gourmet teas and a complimentary glass of bubbly to complement the scrumptious afternoon dining fest.
In fact, Clico now offers an additional service to locals by providing freshly baked artisan breads, with or without savoury fillings, as well as cakes and pastries on order, created by the hotel’s pastry chef Thuli Mabunda – a crafty way to entertain at home and still have time to titivate for one’s guests without the stress of baking…
